Bride To His Darkness

Chapter 151: His Confession

{Music Recommendation: Luminary by Joel Sunny}

"Samantha..." an eerie voice whispered into her head. It didn’t sound like a voice she was consciously familiar with, but like the gentle drifting of a calm ominous wind, it carried her name only to leave an echoing whisper in her ears.

"Samantha dear.... You have to wake up." The strange voice whispered for the second time, beckoning her to listen to its command. Subconsciously, Samantha’s eyebrows slanted into a frown, she saw nothing except the familiar dark abyss she was once trapped in, and this place... the last time she visited a place as lonely as this was at the slave establishment. When she felt a hand resting on her shoulder, Samantha spun around quickly, and as if timed, her eyes sprang wide open, snapping her back into reality.

Her green eyes, which held a slight panic, focused on the ceiling above. When she felt someone’s hand on her shoulder again, she flinched to the side in fear before turning her head to see who it was. Her expressive green eyes gazed at Ivan for a minimum amount of time before she lowered her guard, and she felt better when his face came into her view. For a moment, she assumed the one with the strange voice had touched her, but... who could have woken her up from her abyss, and why was she even there??

Who was there with her??

"Ivan?" Samantha gazed into the amethyst eyes that seamlessly softened the cruelty of his dark face. Her mind was still in the process of rebooting; she could presume she was missing something considering the way he stared at her, whilst she pushed her body up with the gentle help of Ivan. She felt fatigued and drained, her mind could hardly process what was going on and then the voices....

Wait, shouldn’t she be on her way to Meadow?

"Isn’t this.... How am I back here?" As disoriented as her mind was presently, that didn’t stop her from taking note of the familiar black and white architecture, the familiar chaise lounge that was located at the darkest corner of the room and most importantly, the owner of the bed she was presently resting on. She knew the whole dimension of Ivan’s room like the very back of her palm, and she couldn’t mistake it for anywhere else. His presence too was one she hadn’t expected to see when she woke up, infact, she already assumed she might never see him again.

But how is she seeing him?

"Come to me." Ivan let out his hand for the confused woman to take, his velvety voice making its way to her ear like an alluring whisper meant to deceive. When he sensed her hesitation, he proceeded to add.
