The Baroness Misbehaves

Chapter 52: The Bladesmith Location (1)

The evening sun casted a long deep shadow down the cemented ground that became a walkway to exiting a very stylish building. The slanting rays of the setting sun give a warm orange tinge to the sky above, and it all focuses on a tall symmetrical building that was meticulously built with red pine wood and has white stone decorations adding to its luxuriousness.

Inna and Cassian exited the building with a few other sophisticated guests following behind. Golden colored lights shimmered from the long thin windows, including the door which had been open to grant the guests a free passage to leave the stylishly built building.

Quiet chattering could be heard as the people waved one another goodbye for the day, and Inna smiled at those who embraced and congratulated her for winning one of the famous dance etiquettes that they all came to watch. From the look on everyone’s faces, they enjoyed coming to the great Hall to watch the performance that had been carried out, everyone except for Cassian who’s expression remained impassive and slightly bored.

He looked like someone who had been forced to be here.

When the people no longer gave them an eye and hurried to get into the carriages that brought them over, Inna used the little distraction they got to quickly pull her brother to the back of the building, finally escaping from the uncomfortable gazes of the guests.

Cassian, who was starting to think about how he had to get Inna those shoes since she ended up winning the test, didn’t expect his sister to unceremoniously drag him to the back of the building where they had stepped out from.

"Hey!" Cassian resisted his sister’s pull, wondering what that was all about, and Inna finally let go of his arm when they were now alone. She surveyed the area one more time to make sure no one was coming in their direction before looking at her brother.

"Remember the deal we made, you promised to let me help you if I end up locating the bladesmith right?" She whispered to her brother who was still lost on what his sister was trying to pinpoint.

"I won’t give an answer until you explain what this is all about." He whispered back.
