The Oldest Dream of Eternal Night

Chapter 29: Fucking leech

My jeans ripped, blood seeping from the cuts. Her claws were like razor blades, slicing through my skin like paper. My t-shirt was in tatters, stained with blood, crossed gashes across my chest.

I growled, grabbing a lamp from a coffee table. I hurled it with all my strength. She dodged with a graceful leap, landing on the wall like a spider. "You’re pathetic, Hugo," she hissed, before lunging at me. Her claws aimed for my throat, but I jumped to the side, smashing a chair beneath my weight.

I got back up, gasping, and charged again. My fist slammed into her shoulder, making her stagger, but she retaliated with a claw strike that tore through my bicep. Blood sprayed, but I held on, muscles taut, veins ready to burst.

She was faster, more precise. Every strike she landed hit its mark, opening new wounds. But I could take it. I grabbed her wrist, twisting her arm with all my might. She screamed, but kicked me in the knee, which cracked ominously. I half-fell, but got back up, throwing an uppercut. She stumbled back, but not fast enough. My fist grazed her chin, making her wobble.

Still, she had the upper hand. My movements were slowing, the blood flowing too fast. My t-shirt, or what was left of it, clung to my skin, soaked with sweat and blood. Her claws were too sharp.

She leaped again, her fangs aiming for my throat. I raised an arm to block, but her teeth sank into my forearm, tearing a scream from my throat. The pain was unbearable, but I refused to let go.

"Ahhhhh... Fuck! That bitch!"

"Where. Is. Ben?" I roared, my voice echoing in the devastated living room.

Sabrina backed away, licking the blood from her lips, a cruel smile on her face. "You really want to know? Then come and get him."

She leaped again, and I braced myself, fists clenched.

"You’re just a low-level Wunder. You really think you can win?" I sneered, wiping the blood dripping from my forearm. My muscles bulged, straining my t-shirt to the point of tearing. Rage boiled within me, like a fire consuming everything.
