Tang Ni senses the animosity from her, and he sighs loudly. He could not blame her by the way, his father’s actions were uncalled-for, although he was well aware this was done for him.
He was only glad that his father knew they were going to be hungry; thus, he had prepared food for them.
"You know, you still have to talk to me, your sister is asleep already, and you look like someone who doesn’t sleep," Tang Ni stated. He badly wanted to communicate with her.
He only wanted to bridge the gap between both of them. If he did, he would be considered successful.
"What do you want to talk about? We don’t have anything in common," Li Chuxi asked with a detached voice, folding her arms as she stared straight at him.
Tang Ni awkwardly cleared his throat. It seemed Li Chuxi was paying attention to the conversation he had with her sister earlier on.
"Why don’t we talk about you? You speak, and I listen," Tang Ni suggested. He hoped he could build a strong friendship with Li Chuxi, but the little girl has decided not to have anything to do with him.
Li Chuxi continued to stare at him as she weighed her pros and cons. True to what he said, she could not sleep, as she was in an unfamiliar environment.
