Chapter 74: Cheng Luiying Is Not Her Daughter
He shrugged his shoulders and walked away. He did not want to deal with his temperamental sister. He had a date with his loved one.
Tang Mei walked into her room and sat down on the bed. She grabbed a fistful of sheets and took deep breaths.
She heard a knock and was about to yell at the person, but she paused. She sighed as she listened to the knocking pattern and mumbled ’come in.’
"What exactly do you want, Dad?" She inquired without turning to see if it was actually her father who had entered.
"Tang Mei, your attitude these past few days has been perplexing, and your temper has gotten to the point where I would question your mental stability," her father, Tang Zheng, said with a tired sigh.
Tang Mei turned to face her father, wide-eyed. She was unable to believe it. Were those words spoken by her father?
"What do you mean by this? That I am insane, I am not crazy; I am just going through a lot, and as my father, you are supposed to understand me," Tang Mei mumbled, looking at her father with glossy eyes.
Tang Zheng released his breath. He had avoided saying this previously. However, he needed his daughter to know that she had changed.
"I know you are going through a lot, I understand you; you are my daughter, my life, but you need to understand that your attitude causes the people who love you to be cautious when they are with you; it is not meant to be," Tang Zheng explained.
Tang Mei actually paused to hear him out. Or, more accurately, she gave him the impression that she was listening to him.
While he educated and advised her on certain life aspects she should consider, she was busy planning how she would deal with Xin Yan.
