Chapter 337: Work Of Art
Derek’s father and Sebastian Haven had been twins. Which meant that they had looked so alike that they would have been confused for one another at a glance. But as she looked over at what was Sebastian’s side of the warehouse, Emily realised something.
For those who really knew the Haven twins. There would have been no mistaking one for the other. Just by looking at their tastes when it came to what they had done with their man-caves, Jasper Haven and Sebastian Haven were night and day.
From the stories that Emily had heard from Derek. Jasper had been a man who had loved his wife, and his son more than anything in the world. That much was apparent because even decades after his death. The wedding dress that he had rescued for the sake of his wife was still in great shape. Protected from destruction by a glass cage, and held up by a mannequin.
A clear sign that Jasper Haven had put great thought into protecting the fabric. But where Jasper had gone to such great lengths to protect something because it was important to his wife.
Sebastian Haven was the exact opposite. Everything in Sebastian’s man cave just screamed me, me, me...It fit perfectly with what Emily knew of Sebastian Haven’s character.
There were giant posters of scantily glad women adorning the walls and there were cars, so many cars. In addition to the cars Emily even saw. Some aircrafts, some of them looking functional while others seemed to be just for decoration. Every single machine in there was gleaming, and it was clear that Sebastian Haven still made an appearance from time to time.
While in Jasper Haven’s absence, his man cave had slowly been eating itself away, falling apart in places. But it was clear that Sebastian still took care of his side. Emily had no idea what to read from that.
Was the man heartbroken over the loss of his twin, to the point that he could not even find it in himself to enter what had been his brother’s personal space, just to clear it up. Or was it because he did not care? Deciding not to dwell too much on such a loaded topic, Emily instead focused on taking in everything in the warehouse.
Walking around Sebastian’s man cave, Emily could not help but scoff at how predictable it was. The man was seriously a walking stereotype. He played the role of the rich playboy to the core, never mind that he was now an old man.
