Sleeping With The CEO

Chapter 327: Hard To Say

After everything that had gone on, Jane Molson had bigger things to worry about than the fact that neither she, nor her daughter owned a car. But as Derek Haven drove them through the city streets, that was exactly what she was thinking about.

Not owning a vehicle was not something that Jane had ever regretted. After all, the city was a much kinder place to those who did not have to worry about taking care of their cars. They did not have to worry about parking fees, and they also did not have to concern themselves with car maintenance.

That was why Jane had never really cared much about getting her own car.Despite the fact that both she and Emily could have afforded to buy one. But now as she sat in the back of Derek’s car with Cassie by her side.

Jane was seeing the benefits of owning a vehicle. Were she in public transport? She would not have had the luxury to just let her mind wander for a bit. She would have had to remain aware to prevent the possibility of her missing her stop.

But in the privacy that the back of Derek’s personal car provided. Jane could focus on other things without having to keep an eye out.

Stealing a look over at her fellow backseat passenger. She realized that Cassie was doing the same as well, thinking on matters, gathering her thoughts. Except it was not just Cassie as Jane had known the woman in her past. The woman sitting next to her was Cassandra Haven.

The mother of Derek Haven.

Such a small detail, but it made a world of difference. When Jane had found out that her daughter was dating a man who was her boss. She had thought that that situation was complicated.

But now, knowing that Derek was Cassie’s son, made things even messier. Jane kind of wished for the days when her biggest issuewas that he was both Emily’s boss, and her boyfriend.
