Chapter 231: No Big Deal
All in all, Emily’s situation, was not a big deal.
That whole thing of her having kissed Derek, and then running away like the hounds of hell were on her tail. Was not so bad once she sat down and thought about it. It really was not, it was not the end of the world. The earth had kept spinning afterwards, and the sky had not started raining down on her.
So what if she had kissed her boss?
It was not like she had ruined everything in her life ever. She still had options. Lots, and lots of options. Life was her oyster, or was it the whole world was her oyster.
The saying did not matter. What mattered was that Emily still had plenty of other things that she could do.
She could run away and become a nun. Do away with all worldly things, and live a life full of faith and prayer. A life where she did not have to focus so much on material things like money. She could spend her days enjoying the simple things in life and becoming enlightened.
Closing her eyes, Emily clasped her hands together, trying to think of herself as a nun. Then she vigorously shook her head and forced her eyes open.
There was no way that she would make it in that life. She did not have the calmness that it required.
But still, even with her prospects as a nun looking bleak, she still had other options. She could head out to the countryside, maybe try her hand as a farmer, or maybe bull riding would be more up her street.
