Chapter 207: Fani & Dedy Warm Surprise

Al and Ai walked side by side toward the VVIP room.

Just the two of them this time.

Not because they wanted to be alone, but because the others were already waiting inside. Ai had insisted on personally picking Al up.

The two laughed softly as they walked, chatting in a way that felt both natural and intimate.

Ai held onto Al’s arm, her bright eyes sparkling as she smiled and laughed every time he teased her or cracked a joke.

Casual. Harmonious. Yet undeniably romantic.

Unfortunately, the atmosphere behind them was the complete opposite.

From the shadowed corridor in the back, David watched with clenched fists.

His teeth ground against each other.

His expression had completely darkened.

"T-That’s really Miss Aiza and... that orphan?!"

Seeing Ai act so warm—almost slightly flirtatious—toward Al nearly made David cough blood on the spot.

"How is this possible?!"

He was genuinely jealous.

Part of him wanted to storm over right now... but who was he to them?

Not to mention his current appearance was a complete mess. His pants were wet, and his clothes were disheveled.

If Miss Aiza saw him like this, his entire image would collapse instantly.

In the end, he could only watch silently as the two figures disappeared behind the grand doors at the end of the hall.

"What the hell is going on...? Weren’t they supposed to be nothing more than a sponsor and a scholarship student?"

"How did they become that close?"

"Don’t tell me... Miss Aiza is the type of woman who likes..."

Even he couldn’t believe the thought forming in his head.

He actually started imagining Ai as the kind of rich woman who kept handsome men around for personal needs... and that Al was one of them.

"It should’ve been me..." he muttered instinctively.

But he quickly snapped out of it.

"No! What the hell am I thinking? I’m supposed to be the one dominating women."

Yet no matter how much he tried to deny it, this was clearly a situation completely beyond his control.

Right then, his phone vibrated.

Only then did he remember that Vianna and the others were still waiting for him.

And at that exact moment, a terrible idea suddenly appeared in his mind.

"Anyway... if I tell the family that Al became some rich woman’s gigolo... there’s like a ninety percent chance his reputation would completely crumble, right?"

"But... should I really do it?"

He fell silent for a moment.

"Hmph... let’s see."

With jealousy and irritation still burning inside him, David finally turned around and left in frustration.

---

At the same time...

In the cold darkness of the night, nearly half of the extended Norvalien and Karagara families had gathered on the outskirts of the city, inside one of the buildings belonging to the Maritime Academy.

Unfortunately, neither Darius nor Kugo had managed to gather the entire family—especially not the branch families who refused to get involved in something this unclear.

Even Lefon ended up barely being included in the matter.

Still, more than fifty people were present—old and young, men and women—standing in rows with barely a sound.

These were the people who had placed complete trust in Darius and Kugo.

Some whispered quietly among themselves, wondering about the purpose of this strange gathering.

Others simply stared at the massive black abyss stretching out before them.

At the front of the crowd stood Darius, Kugo, and of course, Daraka.

Their expressions were cold, yet filled with satisfaction.

Beside them stood their wives.

And not far away, Rudi and Jogo sat bound like lunatics—fast asleep with anti-aggression belts restraining both their hands and feet.

"Tonight," Darius declared loudly, "we will finally put an end to the greatest threat against our family’s honor."

A wave of murmurs spread through the crowd.

"That cursed brat," Kugo continued, "the one responsible for turning our children into this... and that woman who humiliated our families. They will both pay for it."

"And because of that," Darius added, "your presence and cooperation here are extremely important."

Most of them didn’t really understand what was going on.

But simply being told they were important was enough to make them feel proud.

Several voices immediately shouted in agreement.

The family heads exchanged satisfied smiles.

Meanwhile, standing a few steps behind them, Daraka watched everything with a strange smile.

Too wide.

Too calm.

Too cold.

Without wasting more words, Daraka placed a hand on both Kugo and Darius’s shoulders.

"Everything is ready," he said quietly. "Bring them in."

The two men fell silent for a moment, forcing down the last traces of hesitation still lingering inside them.

Then they nodded.

And gestured for everyone to move toward the massive curtain nearby.

At first glance, it looked like an ordinary entrance curtain.

But beyond it, the air itself split apart into a massive black crack.

Blue lightning-like energy surged around the opening, forming a violent vortex that swallowed both wind and sound.

A dimensional crack leading to that place.

The crowd had no idea where they were being taken.

Still, most assumed that beyond the gate awaited something extraordinary prepared for them.

One by one, they stepped into the dimensional rift... and were instantly sucked into a completely different world.

The moment their bodies touched the crack, they were violently thrown inside before even managing to scream.

Meanwhile...

After Darius and Kugo entered as the last ones, Daraka let out a soft laugh.

Then he clapped his hands.

Instantly—

A group of people wearing different uniforms appeared from the darkness.

Some wore robes alongside bear-shaped masks.

Others wore plain black uniforms, and they were clearly the most numerous.

A smaller group wore brown robes, yet strangely carried themselves with far greater confidence than the others.

Daraka smirked.

"So that’s how it is..." he murmured.

From beneath his robe, he pulled out a handful of incense.

Then tossed it into the air.

Instantly, energy exploded from his body and fused with the incense smoke.

BWOOSHH!!

One.

Three.

Five.

Dozens.

Various creatures suddenly emerged from every direction.

Some floated through the air.

Some crawled across the floor.

Some phased straight through the walls.

All of them rushed toward the incense as if irresistibly drawn to it.

Daraka watched calmly, as though patiently waiting.

Allowing them to gather together.

Only after he was certain enough had gathered within range did he finally speak.

(Dark - Forbidden) Magic Skill: Force Contract.

Small magic circles instantly appeared on every creature that had consumed the incense.

And as if hypnotized, they slowly descended onto the floor one after another behind the gathered groups.

Daraka gave a satisfied nod.

Then calmly ordered,

"Make sure every single one of them is captured."

WOSHHH!!

And in the next instant, all of them shot off into the darkness.

---

Back at the now-quiet Virellano residence, Fani finally arrived.

Several servants and guards greeted her politely, almost as if they were welcoming one of the young masters themselves, and she returned the greetings with a gentle smile.

In her hand was a small cake box.

Her steps were quick as a servant opened the door for her, allowing her to head straight toward Al’s room.

She looked far too excited.

As usual... the room wasn’t locked.

Fani smiled helplessly.

"That boss of mine..."

Slowly, she pushed the door open.

Dug. Dug. Dug.

For some reason, her heart was pounding.

Giving Al something this small somehow felt strangely nerve-wracking.

And the moment the door fully opened—

"Surpri—"

Her voice suddenly stopped.

The room was dark.

And empty.

She looked around while extending her magical senses.

But... Al wasn’t there.

"He’s not here?"

"Boss? Yuhuuu... I’m here! Boss!!"

Fani checked the bathroom. The corners of the room. The ceiling. Inside the closet. Even inside a jar.

Nothing.

She let out a long sigh before weakly sitting down on the edge of the bed.

"Damn... I went through all the trouble of buying cake, and the guy’s not even here..." she grumbled.

Just as she was about to stand up—

Tok. Tok. Tok.

A soft knocking sound came from the window.

Fani immediately pulled the curtain aside, hoping it was Al...

Instead, what appeared was a giant bald face.

"GYAAAHH!!"

She jumped backward, nearly falling off the bed.

The one climbing in through the unlocked window was Dedy.

The large man struggled awkwardly as he squeezed himself inside.

But the moment he saw who was inside the room, he froze as well.

"Miss Fani...? You’re... in Young Master’s room? Huh? Why are you here?" he asked quietly, clearly confused.

Fani stared back blankly.

"Wait... you too? Why are you here? And why are you entering through the window?!"

Both of them instantly started having weird thoughts.

Dedy thought Fani had some kind of secret relationship with Al.

Meanwhile, Fani thought Dedy was trying to rob the place.

But then—

Their gazes shifted toward each other’s hands.

Both of them were carrying a box of cake.

They exchanged awkward looks.

And immediately understood.

"Ah... I guess we came here for the same reason," Fani said with an embarrassed smile.

Dedy also looked slightly awkward, though he still maintained his polite demeanor.

Since Al clearly wasn’t in the room, the two decided to leave. Staying there together somehow felt... inappropriate.

Especially if Uncle Acok happened to walk by.

Not long after that...

The two ended up sitting together in the garden, each carrying their own cake box.

Under the moonlight, they began chatting.

At first, they talked about why they had come.

But eventually, the conversation shifted toward Al himself.

Dedy started telling her about the side of Al that the Virellano family never knew about.

About how he had once been ordered to punish Al... only for Al to end up healing his wounds instead.

Fani fell silent for a moment before almost laughing.

"I think we’re the same. The first time I found out who he really was... was after I attacked him too. And he healed me afterward."

And somehow, that conversation made both of them realize something at the same time.

"Wait... you know the real Al too?" Fani said.

At the exact same moment, Dedy asked,

"You... know about Young Master Al as well?"

Realizing it, the two could only laugh together.

Neither of them had expected they were among the few lucky people allowed to witness even a glimpse of Al’s true power.

After that, the conversation naturally became deeper—though Fani still kept the fact that she was a demi-human a secret.

Not long later, the convoy of Virellano family cars finally returned.

Bright headlights cut across the yard as the engines came to a stop.

And what they saw in the garden...

...was something they never would’ve expected.
