Chapter 12: An unexpected strike
After a few minutes of walking, Shaan finally met Chelsie again. Chelsie was seen opening the box in front of her, and soon her hand was holding the two dark blue crystals that they had been looking for.
"Shaan, we made it!" Chelsie smiled, revealing a dimple on one cheek. "We finally managed to get this stone, Shaan."
"Yes, Chelsie. I’m glad we managed to get that thing, too. At least now we need to return and give the stone to the officer waiting outside the cave."
"Yes, Shaan. I agree with you," Chelsie walked closer to Shaan. "Now we can-"
’Growwwll’
"What’s that sound?" Chelsie gasped for a moment and slowly turned her head to look at the source of the sound. "Oh... this can’t be."
A large creature twice the size of Chelsie’s body could be seen behind her. The body of this creature was covered with a collection of large stones that were attached, making its body look solid and strong. Strangely, the creature also had a pair of large feet and palms, which were much larger than the size of a normal human palm.
"What is th-that?"
"Chelsie, get out of there before-"
Sadly, before Shaan could finish his sentence, the creature threw a punch at Chelsie. She instantly blocked the creature’s attack with her staff, but the creature’s blow was so hard that Chelsie was thrown off and her body slammed straight into the surface of the cave wall.
"Aargh!"
[Oh my, it’s... It’s a Golem.] Robin Hood’s face tightened. [Shaan, we need to help Chelsie before the Golem finishes her off.]
