Chapter 50: Jareth

1st Hamlet

It was the early hours of a bright morning and the sun blessed the vast and populous 1st hamlet with its radiant glow.

Known as the biggest hamlet, the 1st hamlet has several dozen huts in good condition and a population of almost a hundred and fifty people. Their farmlands are known to be the biggest and most fertile — even in seasons where other hamlets starved, the 1st hamlet always has a good storage of food supplies.

The people of the Hamlet could be seen moving around with smiles on their faces. The farmers were already in their lands working, and the women were either sewing or cooking while the children played around.

At the middle of the hamlet, a group of men could be seen constructing a wooden structure. Some of them moved wood around, while others climbed on ladders and nailed the planks. They worked harmoniously.

Some young ladies strolled around the workplace and distributed food to the workers with smiles on their faces.

The atmosphere of the 1st hamlet was not only peaceful, but productive. A luxury lacked by the other hamlets.

While the condition of this Hamlet could be considered perfect, it has not always been like this — the Hamlet only began to improve when the leader of the Ironhand gang settled in their midst about five years ago.

On that faithful day, the Hamlet was attacked by a group of terrifying goblins.

The goblins tore down their huts, ruined their farmlands, abducted their beautiful young ladies, and slaughtered the men who were courageous enough to attack them.

The goblins left after wrecking much destruction, and the people were left with grief and plenty of damages.

While they mourned, a group of three young men arrived — two with black hair and one with red hair.
