Chapter 150 - 152: Exterminating Bad Guys
Seeing them entering with a large number of groups, he did not show any panic at all. With just a slight force the sound of some bones being snapped was fully heard.
"It seems that you are late in saving your young master, now that you saw the culprit aren’t all of you going to make a move,"
He asked as he stood there waiting for them to take action, Bernard the man who was leading those man glanced at him in the eye and laughed.
"Do you think by hiding in that mask you will not be known? After wandering for a very long time, I haven’t seen anyone with golden eyes other than you,"
"I don’t know if its in your blood or just some medical problems, but I’ll make sure everything will end here right now," he said as he took out pistol knowing that this kid is a menace.
"How can you say that? Why don’t you pull the trigger and find out," Jeff said even pushing him to take a shot while he just stood there.
Bernard who wasn’t afraid of him one bit pulled the trigger when he uttered to his words, but different from his expectations the moment the bullet neared the mask man it was blocked.
The bullet stayed stationary making him shock in awe, "What the..." he screamed as he fired another shot.
But the same as before the scene just repeated itself with more bullets hovering, the thugs behind him looked at this scene totally horrified.
"This-this... how did this happen?"
Jeff just said nothing and with a subtle movement of his fingers, he redirected the bullet using kinetic energy.
Thus sending it rebounding it through the air and killing every thug behind the first target.
There were only a few bullets but with perfect control, their trajectories shifted with every impact, striking each person in sequence.
It was not telekinesis because he simply controlled the force precisely while predicting exactly where each bullet would go.
It was simply the correct use of force and nothing more. One by one, everybody dropped to the floor, blood oozing out as life faded from their eyes.
His dominance was fully displayed in that moment. The woman who witnessed the scene covered her mouth, unable to comprehend what she was seeing as it unfolded before her.
She questioned whether she was hallucinating, whether this was fake or real, but the scene was neither a dream nor a product of imagination.
Bernard noticed the change in the boy, especially the aura radiating from him. It carried something eerie and the sight alone was enough to drain the color from Bernard’s face.
"What... are... you..." he stuttered as he began to step back.
The kid who just a few days ago, which he had already grown familiar had clearly become someone entirely different.
He had become something distant from the boy he knew, "You know, I’ve already given you a chance," Jeff said while shaking his head.
"I was really young and dumb at that time showing how inexperience I was," he said while looking at him calmly.
"If it weren’t for someone’s help, I would have remain the same timid guy," he said mentioning the system in a vague way.
Since all of this was really credited to the system itself, but to Bernard he did not know this as he was scared shitless by his presence alone.
"This is goodbye," as Jeff uttered those words.
Hearing his goodbye, Bernard felt something whistle past him. It was soft and angelic, instinctively he slowly raised his hand to his forehead.
It was warm, yet his head felt cold at the same time, "Blood?" he muttered.
As the word left his lips, he collapsed to the floor completely lifeless. When Bernard died, Jeff walked out of the room.
Not caring about Angelo who was crying like a kid, especially after seeing all of his man died it completely crushed his hope.
Not leaving yet his senses told him there were more people inside. So he checked each room and discovered numerous captives locked away.
They had clearly been treated like comfort women by these vile people, and the realization filled him great anger.
"This world is really cruel, much crueler than mine," he said as he had already cleared out everything.
The captives were on the escaped after he gave each of them directions toward the road. Standing above the mansion, he gritted his teeth.
In his world crime was not something like this. The government seemed to be responsible, and even though corruption existed, it was never on a scale like this.
Or maybe he had simply been a normal person, so his level of information is not wide.
Even then in his past life it had its limits and things like this seemed to not exist. Still, he could not help but feel angry as he weighed everything in his mind.
Men, women, children, and even the elderly should never have to experience something like this. He looked up at the sky, his eyes shining brightly.
"Haha, what am I even thinking? I’m not a hero in this world, why am I even thinking about this?" he said with a chuckle as he vanished on the spot.
He soon arrived at the road which is the same place where he had left the kid and his elder sister.
Standing at the top of a tree, he glanced down and saw that the police had already arrived earlier.
They had called for backup and some officers were already rushing toward the mansion.
"Now that they are rescued, I believe my help ends here," he said with a smile as he looked at AJ and Tina.
They were covered with blankets as the officers handed them to drink and eat to ease their hunger. After a while, the ambulance finally arrived.
Back at the scene, when the cops reached the area, it was far more gruesome than they had first imagined.
"That man who keeps giving us tips is really dangerous," Michael voiced his concern.
The other officers who saw bodies scattered everywhere, nodded in agreement.
"This situation is much bigger than we thought, go ahead and contact headquarters, since this is not something we can handle on our own," he said.
Then his subordinate Gabriel began the call.
Then one officers came to report something and the gloomy expression that he had turned into a smile.
"Chief we have found the escaped convict Angelo Rivas on the second floor. He appears to be in a vegetative state, screaming and grunting for unknown reason," the officer reported.
"What really?" Michael said in shock, having barely finished listening to his subordinate.
Michael followed by Gabriel and the other officers came up and saw his condition. The sight made their skin crawl.
Looking at him, his eyes were bloodshot while trembling from time to time clearly, he was in an unbearable pain, yet none of them understood in why is that.
"Take this guy to the hospital, we do not want him dying here before he receives his punishment," Michael ordered.
Perfectly unaware that this man could not die and could only continue suffering.
"Also Chief, after further investigation we found papers and documents confirming that this entire property belongs to Alonzo Rivas," the officer added.
Hearing this to the end felt like music to Michael’s ears. The gloom that weighed on him after seeing the people suffer because of that bastard’s actions was finally lifted.
The guilt weighing on him eased slightly knowing that the man behind all of this was finally going to prison.
"Tell all of our men to track and surround the suspect, now that we have the evidence there’s no way out for him," he roared as he moved.
At this point if he did not act that slipper of a man would slip away again, causing even more trouble in capturing him.
"Is that man who tip this to us a trouble or an angel that was sent by god?" he wondered.
"For now, I hope it’s not something bad,"
