Chapter 17: Choosing team leaders
Some of his classmates remained quiet as they listened attentively.
"For the final exam, you will be required to create a research study," the teacher announced.
"Take note, for this final exam, the scope of your research must be limited to our school. Any topic outside the school's parameters will not be accepted."
"Also, the content that will be included in your research study should only cover Chapters One to Three. You do not need to collect data from respondents, as this is just a practice for all of you. The actual data gathering will take place during your Senior High School year."
"Your main goal is to defend your research study, which is why you must take it seriously and study your work thoroughly. Now, let us begin selecting the group leaders. Since there are a total of forty-three students, five leaders will be chosen."
"For those whose names are called, please come to the front," Eve said to the class as she began the selection.
"Tala Navarro, stand and come here," Eve called out.
The girl sitting in the third row near the window was stunned. "Why me?" she growled in her mind, reluctantly accepting her fate.
She was a good-looking girl, and even Jeff had a small crush on her, though not enough to try courting her.
He was not ready to be in a relationship yet, and he also lacked the confidence to approach her, especially since she was somewhat well-known among their peers.
So yeah, even though he was quite popular in his classroom and in other sections because of his good looks, whenever he looked in the mirror, he only saw someone he thought was unattractive.
