Chapter 39 Dumpling Incident
Chenjiang Newspaper.
Tu Hengsha arrived at the editorial platform early in the morning with two paper bags in hand.
In the large open space, two or three people had already arrived, among them was Su Ronggui.
His workstation was in the corner, he wore a black jacket, but somehow stood out, at least the first thing she saw when she came in was his upright back. She inexplicably recalled the day when Wang confronted her, and he shielded her behind him, the scent from him, faintly mingled with a smell of green grass.
Everyone was busy with their own affairs.
She quietly walked to Su Ronggui’s side, placing the paper bags on his desk, "Good morning, Mr. Su." She had actually deliberated over what to call him. She preferred calling him Xiao Xu, but at the office, it seemed better to call him Mr. Su.
Two paper bags, one containing his clothes, which had been washed and neatly ironed, the other, a few zongzi that her mom had steamed hot again in the morning, still warm now.
He nodded, cold and indifferent, "Morning."
She wrinkled her nose, but she was already used to his demeanor, and she returned to her workstation indifferently.
Just as she sat down, she instinctively felt someone watching her. She looked up to see, and sure enough, a smiling girl came in, about her age, dressed fashionably, with those smiling eyes staring at her.
She felt the girl looked somewhat familiar, probably seen on her first day at the newspaper. After all, she was too rushed to recognize and remember everyone in the large open space, but since they were colleagues, she smiled amicably and said, "Hello, I’m the new photography journalist, Tu Hengsha. Please take care of me."
