Chapter 22: Encounter, Reunion (21)
She had just gotten off the vehicle and hadn’t even climbed the steps to the teaching building when she saw many people standing in the corridor on the second floor, and faintly, a few in white coats moving among them.
Her heart sank, and she muttered to herself, "This can’t be good. Could something have happened?"
She hurried upstairs, squeezing through the crowd, and as she pushed through, she overheard bits of conversation—words like "pregnant woman", "injured", and "no place" reached her ears.

On the ground were stretchers with three people lying on them, two of whom she recognized: Liu Dawei and a male college student named Ah Wei, plus a young soldier she did not know. Their eyes were closed, and their complexions looked bad, Liu Dawei’s calf was wrapped in gauze.
At that moment, they, along with several medical staff and soldiers helping with the stretchers, were in front of a room marked "Second Grade Small Office", with several medical staff looking indignant.
"What’s happened?" Tu Hengsha squatted down and touched Liu Dawei’s forehead, indeed finding it frighteningly hot.
"All three of them have high fevers, vomiting, and diarrhea. Their symptoms are very severe; they can no longer stay in the makeshift clinic. We wanted to find them an empty room, and there might even be others who will exhibit the same symptoms. We need the space! But they refuse to open the door!" A nurse was so angry that her eyes were red.
