Only God

Chapter 328 - 285: Visiting Hiris

The Forest God Lipo descended into the world following the Netherworld King’s death. Due to the inherent nature of the Forest God, the moment He set foot upon this forbidding, bone-chilling land, a smattering of flowers and grasses emerged from the ground.

Lipo’s divine power could produce flora in the Netherworld, but at the same time, the ceaseless, chilling winds of the Netherworld also made the Forest God feel uneasy.

Having come in haste, Lipo hadn’t sent a messenger ahead to notify the Death God Nakbet of His arrival, and so He was treated as an invader by the guardian dog of the Netherworld, Cerberus.

Cerberus rose up on its hind legs. Within the dark, sunless Netherworld, the souls were terrified by the fearsome beast’s aura and the thick, acrid stench of its murderous intent, crying and clutching their heads by the riverbank.

Lipo stared in astonishment at the three-headed dog, the gatekeeper of the Netherworld and Nakbet’s pet, which, nourished by the Netherworld, had gained strength no less than that of a Third Rank divine being.

This Netherworld, capable of nurturing such a creature as Cerberus, made it clear how many souls the Netherworld must contain.

The three-headed hound shuffled its paws and growled deeply, its mountainous body tense as if it might charge at any moment to tear the uninvited guest to shreds.

"Guardian of the Netherworld, I am the Forest Master Lipo. I am here to visit my friend Hiris," Lipo said.

Empowered by His divine power, His voice rang out and echoed through a third of the Netherworld.

Cerberus still appeared on guard, glaring fiercely at Lipo, as if it wished it could devour the intruder whole.

Lipo, however, was not afraid. His words to the three-headed dog were also meant for Hiris, the mountain and craftsman God.
