Only God

Chapter 71 - 65 Yarlessto’s Nightmare_3

Until the Temple of the Gods was erected.

After the Giant Dragon died, the slaves’ rebellion was suppressed.

Thousands of slaves, including Dertulian and Antion, were captured by the King’s army and brought back to the Royal City.

This should have been cause for a grand celebration, yet King Yaresto, who had led the soldiers to quell the rebellion and slay the Giant Dragon, fell into a comatose state with severe injuries.

In the chambers, the Priests were at a loss for what to do regarding King Yaresto’s wounds. Although they spent their days in the Pattern Garden discussing the laws of the world, thus being proficient in medicine, primitive medical knowledge still proved powerless against countless afflictions.

King Yaresto’s Queen and children spent their days weeping outside his chamber.

The Priests informed the Queen of Yaresto’s dire condition, and while their words were gentle, they revealed a harsh truth—unless King Yaresto pulled through on his own, they could only rely on divine intervention.

A Wise King praised by the people, a great Monarch lauded by the Nobles, was so helpless in the face of death.

The strong-willed Queen dried her tears and began to care day and night for the comatose King.

Every morning, she stroked Yaresto’s forehead, changed his clothes, and fed the comatose King water and barley porridge.

The Queen hoped he would wake up soon and not fall into a comatose nightmare.
