Shen Weiyi’s gaze had swept over the model without much care as they left.
The car quickly arrived at the Sheng Family home, where Shen Jingqi was standing at the entrance.
"Why are you here too?" Shen Weiyi got out of the car and greeted him when she saw him.
"I’m here to freeload a meal," Shen Jingqi said unabashedly. His gaze then flitted back and forth between the two people, "Does this count as meeting the parents?"
"Aunt Jing doesn’t know about us yet, so don’t say anything when you go in," Shen Weiyi warned him sternly.
"Fine, I promise I won’t spill the beans." Shen Jingqi made a zipping motion across his mouth, but his mischievous smile quickly returned as he looked at Shen Weiyi and said, "Are you two playing at a secret romance? Could it be because you’re afraid Aunt Jing won’t like you?"
Shen Weiyi: "Don’t make random guesses like a little kid."
"You’re only one year older than me, you know?" Shen Jingqi looked at her contemptuously, as if she were much older than he was.
Shen Weiyi: "Although it’s only a year’s difference, between us there is the difference between an adult and a minor. Do you know what that one-word difference signifies? It signifies we have different capacities for action, different rights. It signifies that your mental and physical development isn’t complete, so you should listen to your elder sister and do whatever she tells you to, OK?"
