Chapter 37: Shen Weiyi, Get in the Car
Jiu Middle School’s academic workload was heavy, and there was a test every two weeks. If she didn’t work hard, she feared her first exam results after transferring wouldn’t look too good.
The next day, Shen Weiyi was woken up by an alarm clock.
Seeing her yawning as she came downstairs, Shen Juanzhi said, "Did you stay up too late yesterday? I’ll ask Secretary Jiang to tell the school, and you won’t have to attend evening self-study anymore." As he spoke, he pulled out his phone, about to call Secretary Jiang.

Thinking of the car he had driven to pick her up the night before, Shen Weiyi firmly refused: "I checked last night. There’s a bus from our neighborhood to the school; it’s very convenient. I’ll just take the bus to school from now on."
She didn’t want to become the center of gossip just after transferring schools.
Shen Juanzhi glanced at her and, seeing she had made up her mind, didn’t say more: "Alright then, call me or Secretary Jiang if you need anything."
