Shen Weiyi had just finished washing the vegetables and put the soup on the stove when she heard the doorbell ring. As she went to open the door, she saw a man standing at the entrance.
It was none other than Secretary Jiang.
"Miss, Mr. Shen sent me over to cook for you," Secretary Jiang nodded to her slightly.
"I can take care of myself just fine, and since it's the rare weekend, Secretary Jiang, you could have stayed home and spent more time with your family. For such a small matter, there really was no need for you to make a special trip."
Shen Juanzhi was usually very busy, with most of his time taken care of by the family's nanny and Secretary Jiang.
Owing to the fact that the nanny had taken leave to go home recently, even cooking had fallen to Secretary Jiang to take care of.
"It's fine, Mr. Shen is just worried about you, Miss," Secretary Jiang said with a gentle smile. He was treated well at the Shen Family, and the year-end bonuses were quite generous, but it meant he had to be on call twenty-four hours a day.
"If he were really worried, he should have come home earlier, instead of messing around outside and then squeezing your vacation time," Shen Weiyi never missed an opportunity to mock her dear father.
"Don't say that, Miss. Mr. Shen takes good care of me most of the time."
