Chapter 1 If you eat my candy, you must listen to me
"One, two, three, four... huh, there's one missing... meow? Meow meow?" A soft, glutinous little voice rose near the edge of the bushes, as innocent as a newborn kitten's mew.
"Meow—"
Accompanied by rustling noises, a little head popped out from behind the flowerbed. No sooner had it peeked out than it was scooped up by a plump, tender little hand.
"Found you!"
The owner of the short little arms was a three- or four-year-old girl, cute as a button, with big eyes like juicy dark grapes soaked in water, and two loose tufts of hair on her head that looked as if they could come undone at any moment.
"Zhizhi says if you don't eat properly, your brain will have problems. You're so dumb; do you know you'll be bullied in the future?" The little girl lectured the kitten in her milky voice. Then, with little steps, she placed it where she fed them. With her little hands propping her chubby cheeks, she watched them eat until they were finished before standing up to go home, only to spot a small figure lying under a nearby tree.
"Huh?"
The little girl blinked her pretty eyes and curiously walked over to squat in front of the stranger.
It was a beautiful child, asleep under the tree. His long eyelashes half-covered his eyes, giving him a soft, well-behaved appearance. The little girl couldn't resist poking his little face.
