Chapter 56: The Bloom
Adam soared a couple dozen meters above the dense forest, his massive black wings keeping him effortlessly aloft.
Below him, two massive crimson wolves darted between the towering trees with unnatural speed. The Inazuma Twins were fast, absurdly fast. Even without pushing themselves to their limit, they moved very quickly.
If a human were here, to that human’s eyes, they might as well be nothing more than passing blurs, their paws barely making a sound as they sprint across the uneven terrain.
Adam glanced down, watching their movements from below, his wings flapping.
"Damn, they’re quick."
He muttered to himself.
Their speed easily outclassed any vehicle he had ever seen, moving at least twice as fast as a top-tier supercar, yet he kept up without breaking a sweat.
Nevertheless, if they were all going this fast, it should not be long before they reached the village. As such, he looked down at the twins and asked.
"By the way... how much longer till we reach?"
Adam asked, and Kiera replied, saying a such while running.
"A couple minutes more or less... Hmmm! As a matter of fact, Nephari Bridge is right up ahead. Once we cross it, we’ve got about ten miles left... but with our speed, we will reach there in a few short minutes."
