Chapter 164: train us

Freya and Rhea faced Kael, their postures rigid with determination, though the air crackled with an undercurrent of tension.

Kael’s lips curved into a sly grin, his voice low, teasing. "You want me to train you? Really?"

Freya and Rhea nodded in unison, their expressions unwavering.

Freya’s platinum-cyan hair caught the dim light, her blue eyes sharp, a mischievous smile tugging at her lips.

Rhea’s crimson hair spilled over her shoulders, her amber eyes flickering with a mix of resolve and embarrassment, her cheeks tinged pink.

Kael raised an eyebrow, his smirk deepening. "You remember our last training session, don’t you?" His tone was teasing, probing, recalling the unconventional methods that had left them both flustered yet undeniably sharper as a team.

Rhea’s face reddened further, as she averted her gaze, her lips pressed tight.

Freya, however, leaned forward, a mischievous smile curling her lips. "I do," she said, her voice playful, almost challenging. Rhea gave a small nod, her silence speaking volumes.

"You don’t have a problem with that?" Kael pressed, his eyes narrowing, searching their faces for any hesitation.

Rhea stayed quiet, her blush only deepening, her arms crossing slightly as she let Freya take the lead.

Freya’s smile widened, confident and unshaken. "No problem at all," she said smoothly. "Your training works, Kael. It’s unorthodox, sure, but it’s made us tighter as a team. We don’t trip over each other’s powers anymore—Rhea and I can sync up, adjust our output, hit harder without collateral damage."
