The animal suddenly transformed into a bird— a grey hawk. The top of its head and the tail was now a bluish-silver colour, and beneath the wings contained a streak of silver colour. Its eyes remained the same, just more bird-like.

It flapped its wings under the shocked gazes of Aristia’s family, Adeline and Owen. Even Wilson could not hide his shock.

Aristia’s eyes widened in shock.

"What. Just. Happened." She felt like cursing after everything that had happened.

The creature, sensing that there was no danger, lowered its position closer to the bed.

Then, as if the shock of becoming a bird when it was supposed to be a fox was not enough, it became a cat midway, falling softly on the bed.

This time, the words slipped from her mouth unabashed.

"What the fuck?!"

The family couldn’t even focus on the brash word that had left their supposedly cute, innocent daughter’s lips. The shock of their daughter not only having a daemon but the daemon changing forms outweighed her cussing.

The daemon itself paid no mind to the reactions of the humans. Instead, it kept staring at Aristia.
