Chapter 162: CHARLOTTE & GEORGE (11)

George had just finished taking his bath and had been taking care of some matters that required his attention.
When he was done, he headed to the master bedroom.
When he opened the door, he was surprised. The room was dim and there were lit scented candles. There was also an incense burner emitting a pleasant scent.
He shook his head. The servants were too proactive.
His gaze fell on Charlotte, surprised to see her sitting on the bed. Was she waiting for him? He approached her. He could smell her scent a few steps away from her. She usually had a pleasant scent to her, but tonight, it was even more fragrant.
Due to his possession of aura and daemon, he had enhanced abilities, so he was able to see what she was wearing without much effort.
His throat tightened. What were the maids thinking? He could clearly see the outline of her curves.
After a few seconds, he climbed on the other side of the bed and laid down, pulling the covers over himself.
Charlotte unconsciously held her breath until he passed her. Seeing that he lay down to sleep, she too laid down on the bed under the covers.
She closed her eyes, but she couldn’t sleep. Her body and mind were conscious of the person lying beside her.
