"Now, picture that feeling spreading through your body," Captain Hugh continued, not knowing what she was thinking about to have such a nostalgic expression on her face. "Feel it moving from your heart outward."
As Aristia concentrated, she felt a tingling sensation spreading through her body, starting from her chest and radiating outward.
Opening her eyes slowly, she saw a faint glow beginning to shimmer around her, like a soft halo of light, enveloping her and pulsating gently with her heartbeat.
Captain Hugh’s voice broke through her concentration. "Well done, Princess," he said, his tone filled with approval. "You’re beginning to manifest your aura. That glow around you? It’s your aura, a special part of you now. With practice, you’ll learn to control it."
Aristia looked at him in awe. "It’s... it’s beautiful," she murmured, watching the faintly shimmering colors dance around her.
"You have a natural affinity for this, Princess," Captain Hugh remarked with surprise, his eyes studying the aura with interest.
’How unusual.’ The princess’s aura was grey and had a bluish-purple sheen surrounding it that wasn’t very noticeable. It was unusual to have more than one colour for aura.
But then again, it was already unusual for females to manifest aura.
The next moment, the initially calm sensation of aura Aristia felt changed into a wild, surging feeling, and Aristia felt it wasn’t in her control. It was the feeling of something trying to burst open and out of her chest, and it made her blood heat up.
A gasp escaped her lips. [What is this sensation?]
