Chapter 77: NOT FITTING TO APPEAR IN THE BANQUET
"Viscountess Hemsworth," Charlotte acknowledged with a curt nod, watching her.
She hadn’t come into much contact with the younger woman and had no personal impression of the latter.
Vasily, on the other hand, smiled and began to make small talk with the Marchioness. She felt sympathy for the lady in front of her. Especially seeing her standing alone. She was not new to the other noble ladies tendency to rub salt in each other’s wounds. That was, after all, the hidden, dark side of the nobility.
She had no idea how she would feel if Ross, her husband, did the same to her. Probably devastated. Well, that was because she loved the Viscount. She had no idea if the Marchioness loved the Marquis or not.
Minutes later, another announcement was heard. This time, drawing the attention of all the aristocrats present.
The servant announced the presence of the royal family into the garden.
As was the norm, all conversation ceased and all stopped what they were doing and turned towards the direction of the entrance and either bowed or curtsied to the Royal family according to their gender.
"Greetings to the Family blessed by the Lord Nerin, the Royal Family of Amberale. May the blessings of Lord Nerin continue to be bestowed upon You."
"You may rise," King Fedor said, voice brimming with command and power.
"Let’s go greet your grandparents." Catherine told her children, leading her children deeper into the garden.
