Chapter 122: Vampire Reagent
The cold wind was fierce on the broken bridge of Seaside Road.
It was well into deep autumn, and the scorching temperatures of Hong Kong Island were not constant. The dim view could not penetrate the densely packed burlap sacks, and the rising dust rolled at the tip of her nose, leaving behind a trace of grey.
Xu Si sat quietly, suddenly feeling someone forcefully dragging her to another car. She struggled with all her might a couple of times, raising her hand to knock twice against the hard car door. KNOCK. KNOCK.
The next second, a black gun barrel was pressed against the small of her back.
"Miss Xu, don’t move carelessly. Be careful of an accidental discharge."
Xu Si’s rose-colored lips parted slightly, then she went completely limp, as if resigning herself to be taken away.
These dangerous individuals. They just loved to point guns at people’s heads.

"Why not just go rescue her?"
