Chapter 8: Putting Aunt’s Mind at Ease
By this time, the warmth of the day had completely faded, and the evening breeze chilled to the bone. There were no more pedestrians outside the alley. Although the alley was desolate, it was clean and straight. The streetlights flickered dimly, emitting a weak white light.
