"I’m not going back." Nan Fei stood behind Jiang Yang, sharply sensing his abnormality. Calmly and composed, she asked, "You found out?" She had guessed it—Jiang Yang was too smart not to figure it out.
"Yes!" Jiang Yang finished washing the last plate, turned around, and looked at Nan Fei. "Brother Wei Qin handed all his resources over to me, and I know about the paperwork you had Aunt Gu Qiu handle for you."
This was the true reason Jiang Yang had rushed over tonight. He was afraid that if he came any later, his sister would already be gone. As for his sister divorcing her husband? He couldn’t care less! To him, he had never been satisfied with that brother-in-law anyway.

Nan Fei took two steps forward, gently ran her hand through Jiang Yang’s hair, and looked at him with sorrowful eyes. "Will you support me?" she asked.
Jiang Yang hesitated. In truth, he had come to persuade his sister. But in that moment, seeing the resoluteness and pain in her eyes, he found himself unable to voice any objection. He wanted to support her, wanted to offer her the best the world had to give.
If this was what his sister wanted to do, then he absolutely wouldn’t oppose her—even if the road ahead was fraught with danger.
Finally, Jiang Yang bit his lip. "I support you." He simply couldn’t bring himself to object. Since he was worried, he would arrange for someone to protect her closely. He had to ensure his sister could leave safely and, more importantly, come back safely.
"But you have to promise me, you must come back safe and sound, okay?" Jiang Yang’s eyes reddened uncontrollably as he threw himself into Nan Fei’s arms, muttering softly, "I’m scared.
