Without waiting for his wife to reply, he stated: "I’ve said it before—you can’t judge Jiang Nan Fei by her age; she’s incredibly determined. Once she has made up her mind, there’s no changing it. You might as well give up on that. All we can do now is help her so she can get by more smoothly abroad."
Gongxi Heng was a person of calm and wisdom, known for his accurate judgments of people.
Chen Cuihua leaned into his arms and shook her head, "I know what you said, and I’ve already discussed it with Nan Fei. That’s not what I’m contemplating."
"So what is on your mind?"
Furrowing her brows, Chen Cuihua carefully spoke, "I’ve noticed there might be problems in Nan Fei’s relationship with Huo Beijiang."
Hearing this, Gongxi Heng’s eyes lit up with surprise, "Really? Are you sure?"
"Not entirely certain because Nan Fei didn’t mention it. You know well enough she’s deeper than most, and it’s hard for anyone to read her. It’s just that, when she mentioned Huo Beijiang, the look in her eyes was off, lacking the sweetness of love from before."
