Chapter 1297 - 1316: Premonition
One of the warships that had just entered the harbor further heightened the already tense atmosphere of the port.
No sooner had the warship docked than people in dark camouflage uniforms began to disembark in an orderly manner, fully armed and divided into three squads. Huo Beijiang, as the squad leader, should have been at the front, but he was lagging behind because he was speaking with Tu Cheng.
"Why aren’t you going?" Tu Cheng couldn’t help but look at Huo Beijiang impatiently, "You’ve reached your destination, good luck."
"I’ve never had good luck coming here." Huo Beijiang said irritably.
Little did he know he had just finished speaking when he received a fierce glare from Tu Cheng.
"What nonsense are you talking about?" Tu Cheng was almost driven mad by this bastard, "At times like these, can you talk less about ominous things?" He was genuinely worried about Huo Beijiang, but because the two had been bickering and disapproving of each other over the years, he was too embarrassed to express his concern.
"Cut it out!" Huo Beijiang snorted disdainfully, "Don’t forget, you’re a party member, you’re an atheist, how come you’re the one leading superstitious feudal beliefs?"
"This isn’t feudal superstition." Tu Cheng explained, and after speaking, he wished he could slap himself. Why the hell was he explaining? He had never won an argument with this bastard since they were kids.
He preferred to communicate with his fists.
Only real strength spoke the truth.
