When she awoke again, she smelled the scent of disinfectant. Upon opening her eyes, she saw Huo Beijiang’s haggard face. His handsome eyebrows looked tired, but upon seeing her open her eyes, he finally showed a moving smile.
"Are you awake? That’s great!" He sat by the bed and carefully helped her sit up with a pillow for support. "Are you hungry? Do you want some water?"
Nan Fei shook her head; she had no appetite at all.
Huo Beijiang carefully held her hand in his, lowering his head to gently kiss her fingertips. "I’m sorry! I should not have said it!" He had been too eager for Nan Fei to grow up, neglecting her ability to cope.
Thinking of Nan Fei fainting before him the day before, Huo Beijiang felt chills in his limbs, his entire being trapped in an indescribable panic.
Huo Beijiang gripped Nan Fei’s hand tightly, the strength unconsciously immense, eventually causing Nan Fei to wince slightly in pain. He suddenly realized, hurriedly loosening his grip, his handsome brows furrowed tightly.

"What... what’s wrong with you? Did you take the wrong medicine?" Why does he seem so odd?
