It had been one week since Caron and his companions arrived in Galad. Now, they were at the newly constructed Leston Port, located at the southernmost edge of the Southern Great Forest, on the Silent Shore.
"I don't want to say goodbye to you already, Dad. But I know you're busy, so I'll be understanding! I'm still happy we got to spend a whole week together!" Aqua said.
"When you grow up, do you want to come live at Azureocean Castle?" Caron offered.
"Yes! I'm happy anywhere as long as you're there, Dad," Aqua answered with a smile.
As Caron gently patted Aqua's head, his expression softened with a satisfied smile. He wondered if there was anything in this world as adorable as this little one.
If he could, he would love to show her to his parents. They would undoubtedly welcome Aqua with open arms.
"Ahem, Caron. Keep focusing on your swordsmanship training," Kerra advised with a playful grin.
It was a port where people were busily moving around, so it wasn't possible for Kerra to openly call Caron, 'Commander.'
Caron let out a quiet sigh as he glanced at Kerra, who was struggling to hold back his laughter. Lowering his voice, he whispered, "Next time we meet, I'll be stronger than you. And when that day comes... You know what that means, right?"
Kerra shuddered at the chilling words, and stuttered, "T-That... That won't happen, Commander."
"Why not? Kids grow up fast. You'd better be ready, because when that day comes... you're done for," Caron said.
