Chapter 81
“Ma’am, In-hyuk’s here.”
Lately, her son had been coming home more often, and seeing him brought a smile to Han Mi-sun’s face. Even before she could ask where he’d been, the moment she saw Kang In-hyuk, she hastily set down her bag and walked toward him. When she placed a hand on his back, he, lost in thought, looked up and met her gaze.
“You’re home early today. It’s been a while since we could all have a meal together as a family.”
“Mother.”
“Yes?”
Kang In-hyuk dropped his gaze to his own hands.
“I confessed to Tae-seo and got rejected.”
His voice wasn’t loud or quiet—just even. Calm on the surface, but somehow unstable underneath.
“Do you... do you know Tae-seo’s pregnant?”
At In-hyuk’s bitter smile, Han Mi-sun, her heart aching, reached out and held his hands in hers.
“I do. When he said he was pregnant... I was really shocked. I struggled with what to do, but in the end, my feelings didn’t change.”
Han Mi-sun gripped his hands tighter, already sensing what those feelings were.
