The moment Tae-seo’s pregnancy was revealed, a storm of emotions flickered across Han Mi-sun’s face. At first, she suspected it was a lie. But when no one denied it, disbelief turned to shock, and then to outright horror.
"That’s impossible!"
Se-heon, anticipating that trying to reason with Han Mi-sun would be pointless, covered Tae-seo’s ears with his hands. With the noise muffled, Tae-seo’s expression visibly relaxed, but the commotion around them continued.
"Who gave you the right to decide this?!"
"Mi-sun! That’s enough."
Kim Mi-kyung, unable to watch any longer, raised her voice to intervene.
"Of course you’d say that, Sister. You’d want me to just drop this."
Han Mi-sun scoffed, exhaling sharply as she glared at everyone in the room. Her eyes held the weight of betrayal, as if the people before her had conspired against her.
"So this was your plan all along. Telling me you liked In-hyuk, only to stab him in the back later."
Tae-seo wanted to correct her—In-hyuk had never once looked at him that way, not when he was so utterly fixated on Seo Da-rae. But there was no point. She wouldn’t believe it. Frustration swelled inside him as he clenched his chest, unable to express the truth.
Chairman Kang, observing the situation, shot a glance at his secretary, signaling him to step in.
"Let’s discuss this later. Remove her."
