Chapter 39
Revealing my secondary gender to Park Han-su was something I did half on impulse. He wasn’t someone I had to agonize over how to tell, like my parents. He was a friend, making it easier than with my parents, and besides, even if it wasn’t Han Mirae just now, Park Han-su might try to introduce me to someone else later. I told him in advance to cut that possibility off.
Regardless of how Park Han-su took it, I had said what I needed to say. Tae-seo tapped at his keyboard. He had to finish his assignment quickly so he could go confront Kang Se-heon.
‘Who would appreciate someone showing up so suddenly like that?’
Even though he had clearly been relieved when Kang Se-heon appeared at a difficult moment yesterday, Tae-seo pursed his lips in mild annoyance.
‘Next time, I’ll make him tell me before he shows up.’
From the start, there was never a scenario where he wished Kang Se-heon wouldn’t come. He hadn’t felt this way before, but now, Kang Se-heon’s presence had become quite reassuring.
‘Did he even have dinner last night?’
"Manifestation?"
"...Damn it!"
Tae-seo flinched and leaned back in his chair when Park Han-su suddenly shouted. He quickly regained his composure.
"What? Manifestation? You manifested?"
As Park Han-su's voice grew louder, Tae-seo clamped a hand over his mouth before letting go. He hadn’t applied much pressure, just enough to signal for him to calm down, but it left faint finger marks around Han-su’s lips before they slowly faded.
