Chapter 1640 - 416: Go? Go! Exclusive Net Cafe Session
Roar!
Under the will of the Earth Thought Evil Spirit, the Evil Spirit Army instantly erupted into a mountain-splitting, sea-boiling frenzy of roars.
The Evil Spirit aura on their bodies thickened and grew violent at a speed visible to the naked eye, their Strength getting a significant boost in that instant.
The light atop the Earth Thought Evil Spirit Tower also suddenly blazed several notches brighter.
"Damn, it’s Waxing Moon. Evil Moon you dog-ass moon."
"So unlucky, Evil Spirit Buff round is starting again. The good days barely lasted, I bet the Bully Alliance is about to shift back to Emperor Tomb Mountain Range, we’re so screwed."
A chorus of regretful wails and curses instantly rose from the Player Faction.
The expected Waning Moon and waning moon perks were completely flushed down the drain.
When the round opens, it’s always some laugh and some cry.
The happier the players were last round, the more miserable they are this round.
And the more aggrieved the Earth Thought Bully was last round, the more smug and triumphant it is this round.
"Ha ha... hahahaha."
Up on the Tower, the Earth Thought Evil Spirit felt the surging Strength inside its body and couldn’t help letting out a carefree laugh.
The laughter spread, eventually turning into an unrestrained roar:
"Finally... it’s my turn!"
As an enhancement Moon Phase, Waxing Moon gives percentage boosts—less than Full Moon and Evil Moon, but still a full-on super buff round.
As it laughed madly, Black Tide Energy churned violently across the battlefield.
Countless Derivative Evil rapidly spawned, surging out like black waves, howling for blood as they actively launched an Attack toward the players and the Insect Race.
The Moon Phase switch instantly flipped the Momentum on the battlefield.
The Earth Thought Evil Spirit looked down at the Player Faction whose morale had clearly taken a hit, its arrogance flaring higher and higher in its heart.
Controlling the Evil Spirit Army, it unleashed a deafening Roar at the player legions:
"Say— it— out— loud—!"
"All of—you—say— it— out— loud—!"
"Tell me—nice and loud—what—Moon—Phase—this—is!"
The blatantly provocative shouting made the players clearly feel the Earth Thought Bully’s cocky swagger at this moment.
At the same time, the region chat channel for players exploded, messages scrolling at high speed:
"Bully turned its mic on, it’s really damn arrogant. It’s just version enhancement, okay? Maybe next patch it gets nerfed. What’s there to be so proud of?"
"Scared of what, exactly? Hold the line. It’s only Waxing Moon, not Full Moon. Buff is limited. Don’t let the Earth Thought Bully’s swagger spook you."
"It wants us to talk? Then we gotta flame it a bit so it can hear us. Brothers, start cursing, we can’t lose the trash-talk war."
"Waxing Moon! Waxing Moon! Satisfied now, you stupid Bully? (reverse grip, one Sword slash knocking down the Derivative Evil lunging at me)"
"Everyone don’t panic. Frontline hold, Healing keep up, Output focus fire on the freshly spawned Evil Tide, knock this wave of Bully Momentum back down. It’s acting absolutely lawless, who are you showing off to? If you’ve got guts then stay version-buffed for life, there’ll come a day you’re the one crying."
The region channel was full of helpless吐槽 and banter, but there wasn’t any real panic.
Veteran players were experienced with this; they knew Moon Phase cycles were just normal.
Every version has its Bully, and every version gangs up to beat the Bully.
They cussed it out, sure, but there wasn’t the slightest sign of disorder. Under the adjustments of various commanders from the United Guild, the formation quickly shifted.
They began counterattacking against the ferocious Surge of Derivative Evil.
Even though they all knew deep down that going head-to-head during the opponent’s strong-version period was a guaranteed loss.
The players’ enthusiasm for joining the fight hadn’t dropped much at all.
One popular forum consensus: if you lose to any other opponent, you have to get stronger and win the field back, even if the other side is a Demigod. If you can’t win it back, that just proves you’re trash.
But there is exactly one exception, and that’s the Earth Thought Bully.
In Emperor Tomb Mountain Range, losing to the Bully is not shameful.
This is far from the first day the United Battle Group has been "getting beaten up" here.
Getting stomped by the Bully is pretty much a required baptism for any player who’s experienced the village-entrance battlefield.
In the players’ eyes, that beast of a Bully is just showing off while it rides the version enhancement period.
Once the patch nerfs it, it’ll turtle up and play the grandson. When that time comes, they’ll be able to Taunt the Bully hard and reclaim all the pent-up frustration with interest.
With this common mindset of "a gentleman’s revenge can wait ten minutes," players were able to keep themselves calm.
As long as it’s not Full Moon or Evil Moon—those Moon Phases that directly promote the Bully to invincible—they still have some fighting chance.
Waxing Moon is strong, but still within acceptable limits.
It just means the Evil Spirits have fatter HP bars and hit harder.
Spend more time, burn more Potion, and you’ll still chew through them eventually.
At worst, the death-sent-to-Little Black House frequency goes up a bit, and the supplies in their backpacks burn faster.
But as long as they can kill Evil Spirits, it’s pure profit.
And so, the "harmonious interaction" on the Imperial Tomb Village battlefield erupted once again.
On one side, the Earth Thought Evil Spirit was controlling the Evil Spirit army, leading them in arrogant collective shouting, fully enjoying the triumphant feeling of being the "chosen one of this version."
On the other side, the players were cursing and grumbling, but under command they were cooperating smoothly, Output cranked to max.
In their hearts, they were already looking forward to the next Moon Phase shift, imagining how they’d go all-out with the Taunt when the Earth Thought Bully inevitably choked.
The battle quickly moved toward its end.
When the members of the United Battle Group on the field were collectively thrown into the Little Black House, and the Insect Tide likewise retreated like a receding ocean.
The Evil Spirit Army also turned to sand and stone weathering away, Decomposing into Black Tide Energy that drifted toward the Evil Eye Tower shrouded in black mist.
The noisy battlefield was left with only the scattered Roar of Derivative Evil echoing up and down.
Top platform of the Evil Eye Tower.
The Earth Thought Evil Spirit stood suspended in the air, the surging Strength in its body still rolling.
From its Perception View looking down at the now quiet battlefield, the rush brought by version enhancement gradually settled, transforming into cold, deliberate thought.
