Indestructible Body Of Vajra Of The Village Leader

Chapter 1864 - 1438: The Twisted, Twisted Land

The history of the Sky is exceedingly ancient, and the geomantic magnetic fields and other such environments within it are extremely bizarre.

As more than a thousand years have flowed by, those beings from the Ancient Times, even if they were corroded by fallen Heavenly Will and Earth Intent into Lost Souls, still found it hard to escape the path of dying of old age; yet among the many powerhouses who have been banished here in the past several hundred years, quite a few are still alive.

However, even among those who are still alive, those who can truly remain clear-headed like normal people and know who they themselves are, are exceedingly few.

The Heavenly Pool Black Mist not only corrodes a person’s power, it can also gnaw away at a person’s mind; the environment, filled with resentment and degeneration, further twists and deforms a person’s Spirit.

Thus, the Sky is forever lacking no existences that have lost their original heart, beings called Lost Souls. They have only malice and venom toward the world left; they long ago forgot their past glory and identities in the outside world... Within the Sky, where even time itself has lost all meaning, everything in the past has become utterly meaningless.

And besides the Lost Souls, the Sky also harbors the Overlords that have existed since the Ancient Times, as well as..... a group of beings willing to be followed by the Lost Souls, known as the Twisted.

Such existences, by contrast, are even rarer and harder to come by.

But the one thing they share, is that the names they bear now seem to be a farewell to their former pasts.

The Twisted are the same.

The reason the Twisted can gain the following of large numbers of Lost Souls is not only because the Twisted possess formidable strength, but even more because what they twist is not just the Body, but the Spirit itself.

Once the Spirit is twisted, one’s temperament will undergo a drastic change, becoming something that anyone would fear, would revere, would find utterly strange.

At this moment, Jiang Dali was being carried by a group of monsters covered all over in red fur, scales, and horny growths, heading straight toward a warped space where a Twisted dwelled—the Twisted Land!

The Twisted Land was formed when this stretch of heaven and earth first began to warp and mutate; as the years flowed on, the mutated world grew ever more twisted, and as Breakthrough Realm powerhouses repeatedly clashed throughout history, wielding Shattering Void methods, the twisting force of heaven and earth became ever more severe...

Suppose that one ancient world after another that should never have merged, for some strange reason, fused together in a bizarre manner, ultimately forming a new world rife with contradictions.

Would this world not be a world that should never have existed—a twisted world?

"Hoo—hoo—hoo—"

A group of Lost Souls, panting, carried Jiang Dali’s Body, which had grown heavier as his power recovered, quickly approaching a patch of Twisted Land bound by black mist and glowing with light.

Jiang Dali’s keen Spiritual Sense, together with his Shattering Void ability rapidly restored through Cultivation Points, immediately detected the abnormality in that luminous region ahead.

Not because it was, at present, the only place within the Sky he had seen that possessed light.

But because of a fluctuation of space.

Within his sensing, an incomparably intense Space Fluctuation spanned the luminous region ahead, seemingly spreading out for hundreds of zhang.

On the surface, apart from the glow there seemed to be no anomaly, yet with Jiang Dali’s Perception of Space Power, he could clearly sense that space was abnormal.

Indeed, one could say that the anomaly that could not be seen on the surface was in truth the greatest anomaly...

In a dark world where light should not exist, a luminous region had suddenly appeared.

This was like a man trudging over long distances in a desert, nearly dying of thirst, suddenly seeing a vibrant lake... full of illusion, eeriness, and even evil.

Yes!

Evil!

At times, light does not signify holiness or hope, but a far deeper, far deeper evil.

Just as when darkness reaches its very extreme, it will become so dark that it glows, when light reaches its very extreme, it becomes no different from pure darkness.

All things in this world are bound to reverse once they reach an extreme.

Now, the suddenly appearing patch of glowing Twisted Land was precisely an evil place where darkness, twisted to the utmost, had birthed light. The light here offers no hope to anyone; instead, it lets one see only endless distortion and degeneration, inspiring reverence and pursuit among the Lost Souls.

"Milord..."

"Milord..."

A group of Lost Souls carried Jiang Dali toward the Twisted Land, and when they were still ten zhang away from the region of Space Fluctuation, they all halted.

The luminous zone ahead was like a colossal barrier of light, illuminating the churning, turbid black mist so that it became rolling immortal vapor like rosy clouds, reflected upon the ferocious faces of each Lost Soul.

Mumbling incessantly, the Lost Souls set Jiang Dali down, and humbly knelt toward the glowing zone, continuously crying out the title of milord.

All of a sudden, all their skin tightened as they felt an immense terrifying pressure and killing intent assaulting them from beside; instantly their movements froze, they all felt short of breath, their whole Bodies pricked as if by needles, and with disbelieving difficulty they turned their heads...

At some point Jiang Dali had already stood up on his own, his entire Body radiating an awe-inspiring aura. His domineering presence lightly ’pushed aside’ several Lost Souls as he stepped out from among them.

His burly, towering figure, though not clad in a single thread, was a dense, layered mass of explosive power. His solid frame, like a statue carved from marble, brimmed with the beauty of strength and with intimidation. Facing the light ahead, his whole Body emanated an unshakable feeling, leaving the terrified Lost Souls behind him with the image of a powerful back edged with radiance, a demonic back over which muscles knotted and bulged like the face of a Devil.

"How... how dare you!"

"You must not offend the majesty of the great Twisted!"

"Kneel!"

Though flustered and panicked by the power Jiang Dali was releasing, the group of Lost Souls still mustered their courage to rebuke him.

"Noisy."

Jiang Dali let out a cold snort, and his arm swung out abruptly.

Boom!——

A stream of golden Qi Force swept out in an instant, and with a heavy crash blasted the group of Lost Souls flying, leaving them sprawled all over the ground in disarray.

"Who is it... who came into the Twisted Land and still dares bully my subordinates here?"

In a flash, the mist churned. From the bright area opposite him, a low shout faintly rang out, drifting and unstable, as if coming from somewhere very far away. The tone was stern and furious, like it could launch an attack on Jiang Dali at any moment, while a brutal Will was brewing.

"Twisted Land?"

Jiang Dali’s heart stirred. He stepped forward, facing the existence deep in the time distortion, tiger eyes flashing with sharp light as he sent out a Spiritual Wave.

"These subordinates of yours ambushed this village chief on the way and dragged me here. What I did just now was only a bit of punishment for them."

"Them for punishment of bit a only was just I what..."

The Spiritual Wave that spread into the radiant Twisted Land ahead actually warped and scrambled strangely, flipped back on itself.

"You have no right to punish them!"

The angry voice from within the Twisted Land grew even more furious, and the atmosphere instantly turned oppressive.

Terrifying air vortices surged out of nowhere alongside the rolling fog. The light inside the Twisted Land flickered in chaotic pulses, and an incredibly oppressive, stagnant aura descended, giving everyone the feeling that a great calamity was about to crash down on their heads.

"This village chief came here today only wanting a peaceful talk! Are you really planning to make a move on me?"

Jiang Dali frowned, snorted coldly, and clenched his fists. At once his bones crackled loudly, muscles bulged, his Body swelling in size, covered in black and gold, his Weight skyrocketing. The stones beneath his feet cracked and sank into the ground under his tread.

A wild, tyrannical aura surged out from his brutal physique.

Right now, his Qi-Blood had only recovered to a little over 1.5 million, and his Inner Strength had barely returned by a third...

Worse, the loss of more than four million Player Luck Power had reduced the bonus to his spirit, so his tonnage now was far lower than before; even in his Divine Demon Golden Body State he only weighed three tons. But the strength of a Half-step Breaking Realm was still not something any existence in the Sky could afford to look down on.

Under the savage clash of these two vast Momentums, Powerful Energy surged madly before the Twisted Land. A group of Lost Souls felt as if they’d been thrown into a storm-tossed sea, waves crashing over their heads, and they couldn’t stop their whole bodies from shaking uncontrollably, feeling like a catastrophe was about to fall... Yet the next instant, the oppressive aura that had spilled out beyond the Twisted Land suddenly halted, then dispersed into nothing, as if nothing at all had happened. Everything went calm again.

"Hm?"

Jiang Dali’s expression froze for a second. Then he frowned, stared at the glowing Twisted Land, and barked out.

"Come out! Weren’t you going to punish this village chief!?"

His voice entered the Twisted Land and was once again twisted, turning into something nonsensical.

After a brief moment, that voice within the Twisted Land sounded again, but the anger was gone, replaced instead by puzzlement.

"Guest from outside, what did you say? I didn’t hear clearly just now. Maybe there’s some misunderstanding between us. Say it again."

Jiang Dali stared, dumbfounded, then the veins on his forehead started throbbing.

What the hell?

Is this so-called Twisted inside the Twisted Land twisted in the head too?

He was raging just a moment ago, and now his rage has twisted into some other emotion? Or did he just chicken out?

The group of Lost Souls, who were lying on the ground in terror, waiting for the Twisted to unleash Divine Power and crush the offender, were all dumbstruck as well. Each one now shared exactly the same thought as Jiang Dali.

Lord Twisted, did your mood just get... twisted?

But normally Lord Twisted’s emotions are quite stable. There’s never been this kind of warped mood swing before. Could this be some special reaction when facing a powerful enemy?

Boom!

Jiang Dali stomped in anger. The massive impact shattered the ground into cracks, kicking up a huge wave of dust and air as he shouted, "Cut the crap! Twisted, I’m telling you to come out. Since you don’t want to fight me, then get out here and answer a few questions."

Inside the Twisted Land, a bizarre creature with facial muscles rolled up and an arm growing out of its back like a pair of wings had its expression twisted as well, seething with anger. It cursed silently that this uninvited guest was far too aggressive, and cursed the group of Lost Souls for being utterly brain-dead—they actually dragged over this terrifying guy who’d just caused a massive explosion incident, planning to sacrifice him to it.

A bunch of useless idiots who only ruin everything!

This is basically trying to sacrifice it to the other guy!

Even though the other fellow’s State seemed off right now, he was still not someone to provoke lightly.

It had already made up its mind: even if it died, it would not step out of the Twisted Land. Forcing down its rage, it pretended to sound puzzled as it said, "I haven’t made a move in many years. Why does this guest think I’d fight you? Just a misunderstanding! Whatever you want to ask, ask from out there."

"You come out and then I’ll ask!"

Outside, Jiang Dali’s voice came again, twisted into stubbornness.

"My legs have already been twisted and can’t walk well. I haven’t stepped out of the Twisted Land for many years. How about you come in?"

The Twisted sent out this reply, and a cold smile spread across its warped, ferocious face.

Do they really think a Twisted’s brain is twisted too?

If you’ve got questions, you can ask them from a distance.

Getting it to go out there... there’s definitely some scheme or ambush waiting...
