He Became A Monstrous Genius After Obtaining A Time Dilation Artifact

Chapter 687. Urgent

After Kailen spent some time with his loved ones, he made the longevity elixirs for the non awakeners among them. They could literally live forever as long as someone didn’t kill them. Of course, Kailen would not permit something like that to happen.

As for the awakened, as long as they cultivated, their life span would always increase. He decided it was not necessary to make some for them. However they insisted they won’t have anything to lose for taking some anyway. He made some for them too.

After that, Kailen learnt about the current state of the universe during the five years he was in seclusion. Kailen learnt that the vimodials had become more active during this time. Their assaults were becoming increasingly powerful at the Frontlines.

Of course, after learning the secrets of the universe from the Will of The Universe, Kailen knew that no matter how strong the vimodials in the light region of the universe were, they were at most at the rank 7 supreme stage universe level. The vimodials who were transcendent level lifeforms were in the chaotic region of the universe currently.

So, the vimodials even the Supremes were dealing with were definitely the strongest among rank 7 supreme stage universe level powerhouses.

"I should focus on becoming a rank 7 supreme stage universe level Lifeform when I get back to the SCA HQ so that I can deal with these Vimodials the Supremes are dealing with before I become a transcendent and leave for the chaotic region of the universe. I need to ensure my loved ones are at least safe before I leave for the light region of the universe after all," Kailen thought.

Kailen suddenly got a message from Old Ha.

"Kailen, can we meet?"

Old Ha’s voice sounded urgent. Old Ha had not left the Arman Empire back to the Astral Empire yet, so Old Ha flew directly to Kailen’s villa.

The duo were currently standing on Kailen’s balcony, facing the beach as usual. The morning breeze and the sounds of sea waves provided a refreshing feel. The clouds above were thick, as if rain would fall at any moment.

"You and beach houses," Old Ha chuckled.

"I just prefer serenity," Kailen shook his head.

"Yet, they call you The Mad Tactician; how ironic," Old Ha said.

Kailen shook his head.

"So, old man, you sounded serious when you contacted me," Kailen said.

"Yes," Old Ha replied. His demeanor shifted into a somber one. "It’s about my children."

Kailen’s eyes narrowed. Old Ha had never spoken about his children before. He remembered there was this one time where Old Ha mentioned them in passing. But he had a complicated expression on his face, and didn’t talk much about them at the time.

Everyone kept quiet and didn’t press him for more, respecting his privacy. At the time, Old Ha had briefly mentioned his dead wife too.

Kailen listened.

"When my wife died, those kids took it hard. Each one of them felt she died because they were not strong enough to protect her. So, they left to travel the universe and cultivate. I didn’t hear from them afterwards."

Kailen sighed and patted the old man on the back.

"How long has it been?" Kailen asked.

"Some thousand years and some decades I suppose? I can’t really put a finger on it." He shook his head, with a melancholic sigh.

Kailen couldn’t imagine how Old Ha must have felt. He didn’t know whether they were alive, whether or not they were safe for all this time. Not to mention he had already lost his wife. Old Ha must have been carrying the burden of their possible deaths during their cultivation in the universe with him too.

But... Kailen knew Old Ha had more to say.

"It was just a few moments ago that I got a message from them. They are twins by the way, two girls."

Kailen’s eyes widened. Not at the revelation that they were twins, but the fact that Old Ha had gotten a message from them. However, from Old Ha’s tone, Kailen knew it was bad news.

Old Ha continued: "Turns out they are military lieutenants of the Ensi Demi Human Imperial Empire. They are rank 1 beginner stage universe level lifeforms."

Old Ha’s voice dimmed. "They have been captured by some vimodials, as war prisoners to a vimodial outpost outside their empire. They could not tell me the actual location before their signal went off."

Old Ha clenched his fists.

Kailen knew where Old Ha was getting at. He knew how it felt to lose a family. Kailen may have moved on from the death of his parents way back. But he still remembered how it felt at the time.

Old Ha should be feeling the same way, thinking he had lost them. But... they wouldn’t know if they were alive or not, until they confirmed it.

"I will find them. We can’t assume they are not alive. Don’t be too hasty to draw a conclusion, old man," Kailen spoke warmly to Old Ha.

Old Ha nodded. His voice was a bit shaky. "Thank you Kailen. This is why I came to you."

"No need to thank me old man," Kailen said.

Old Ha nodded with renewed hope.

"I need to set off as soon as possible. We can’t afford to waste anytime," Kailen said. "Kindly tell the others I had to leave for urgent business please."

Before Old Ha could reply, Kailen melded with the void and disappeared.

Old Ha stared into the skies. He seemed to have aged suddenly with worry. Only a parent could understand the fear and pain associated with just the thought of losing a child.

"I can only hope Kailen won’t be too late. Those kids better hold on." He sighed.

Everything was up to Kailen now. He could only wait for news from Kailen.

As for Kailen, his first destination was the SCA HQ branch. He needed information. With his level of clearance, he wanted to see if he could find any information related to the Ensi Demihuman Imperial Empire’s Frontlines and any event connected to the the incident Old Ha described.
