Chapter 672 672. Multiple birds with one stone
She floated calmly towards her benefactor, eyes full of tears. Before she could even thank Kailen, Kailen waved his hand.
"There's no need for theatrics."
To Kailen, it was not an act of charity. What he did was a means to an end. However, the teenager nodded, eyes brimming with gratitude. Her parents thanked Kailen for healing their daughter.
Red Sun exchanged a few words with Kailen. A glint flashed through Kailen's eyes. He nodded, understanding that Red Sun had played her part well, after which he was led by an attendant into a living room in the villa. After that, they hugged her deeply. The family of three exchanged a touching moment for a while, as everyone left the room to give them some privacy.

Currently, Kailen was seated in another living room in the villa.
"It's like being in the residence of a giant or a titan," Kailen commented.
The interior of the living room was very large. It made sense because Asuras were very tall by nature. Kailen's gaze gently landed on the door. A very tall Asura with blue skin, long black hair, three arms and two legs, in a long robe entered the living room Kailen was in.
A teenage Asura girl with a pink complexion was seated on his right shoulder, giggling and playing with his hair. The girl was very tiny compared to the man, even though the girl was very tall under normal circumstances. The girl was Red Sun's daughter, the one Kailen had just healed.
The moment the man entered the room, his presence drew attention. He radiated no pressure. He didn't carry some sort of intimidating aura around him despite his build. However, his eyes were vast and calm. There was also this stubborn look in his eyes at the same time.
This man, Carther Fenix... was the founder of the Asura Corrugation Empire. A rank 6 supreme stage universe level powerhouse.
He was literally a powerhouse among powerhouses. He was not at the level of a rank 7 supreme stage universe level powerhouse, nor was he even a tiny bit strong compared to the Universe Supremes—unrivaled old monsters at the rank 7 supreme stage universe level that could trash around other rank 7 supreme stage universe level powerhouses—but he was someone who could throw his weight around in the universe. He was a rank 6 supreme stage universe level powerhouse after all. He was strong!
Kailen didn't have to sense the man's power to know he was terrifying. The moment he saw Kailen, a look of profound gratitude appeared in his eyes. He sat down in a couch. The teenage girl looked at Kailen with a gaze of admiration and gratitude once again, before she excused the old man and her benefactor. She headed towards the door and disappeared.
"Thank you, Black Flask, for healing my disciple's daughter. It means a lot to us. If there's anything that you would like me to do to repay you, I will, to the best of my abilities," Carther said.
"Straight to the point. Just as they say," Kailen thought.
"Pleasure is mine, sir," Kailen said, voice calm, neither arrogant nor cowardly. "I would like to personally request that the civil war between the Asura Corrugation Empire and the Asura Radiant Empire be brought to an end, effective immediately."
Carther would have been displeased by such a statement under normal circumstances. However, this man had literally saved the life of the child of his great grandniece and his disciple at the same time. Carther was tyrannical by nature. What he wanted, he took. This was why when the Asura Radiant bastards decided to keep some of the expert tier natural secret realms for themselves and hand him only three, he refused to oblige and opted for the civil war. He didn't care about how others saw him. This was his method of doing things sometimes, or most of the time.
In his opinion, the Asura Radiant bastards would let their old fox go into seclusion in any of the expert tier secret realms they get to keep for themselves. The bastard will break through into the same rank as himself soon, and he will start throwing his weight around, or worse, he would even try to start a civil war with them in the future. Since that was the case, why not take the civil war to them and eradicate them once and for all.
But, it seems he had to stop the civil war now. After all, this man had saved the life of someone precious to him, and was requesting for something. Naturally, he would not refuse.
"Alright, we will have it at that," Carther said. "But, I'm curious, why would you want the civil war to end?"
Kailen replied: "I'm already certain you know the reason for that, senior."
A glint of admiration flashed through Carther's eyes. Carther laughed and nodded. "This is the first time I'm communicating with a youngster ranks beneath me, but I feel like I'm talking to a peer. You are just like they say, Professor Darkhaven."
"I can see that senior has a silver tongue," Kailen replied. It seems his goal had been met. He had literally completed the mission.
Carther shook his head. This young man was really a breath of fresh air. Not only was he unpredictable and dangerous beyond his age, he could communicate with Carther as if they were peers. Moments like these were rare these days to Carther. Everyone cowered most of the time when they saw him. This was why he didn't like to meet anyone. It was too boring interacting with everyone. All his friends were dead and gone. He was the only one alive.
As for Kailen, he decided to proceed with his plan. To forge an alliance with the man on behalf of Legoland, his grandparents, and the Atrexians, he needed to take out the emblem of Asura.
"Do you recognize this, senior?"
An expression of shock appeared on Carther's face.
"Where did you get this from, young man?" He asked Kailen. His voice was laced with shock. This was the Emblem of Asura. It was given to foreigners of the Asura race who performed some kind of meritorious feat for the Asuras. If someone with it visited the Asura race, they would be treated like a very important guest.
Did this mean that this young man did the Asura race a very important favor in the past? No. If it was the case, would it not have been publicized? That meant that someone had given it to him. At this moment, Kailen replied at the right moment, having read the man's facial expressions to glean his thoughts.
"Naturally, someone gave it to me. I did a favor for a senior in the past who claimed to have done some meritorious deeds for the Asura race two thousand years ago. He handed this over to me as a gift."
Carther found Kailen's words within reason. It was in line with his thoughts, too. But, for some alien senior who did some meritorious deed for the Asuras to hand this over to him, it meant that the senior valued Kailen Darkhaven's favor to him. That meant that, in place of the senior, the Asura race would have to treat Kailen Darkhaven with the level of utmost respect they would have given to the senior who handed over the emblem to Kailen.
"Why did you show this to me, Professor Darkhaven?" Carther's words carried more respect for Kailen than before.
Kailen nodded inwardly. The Emblem of Asura had done its work.
"I simply wanted to find out the importance of this item. That's all," Kailen said with a shrug.
Carther nodded. Right. It's not surprising he didn't know the importance of the item he was holding. It was very rare. Also, only those from the other races who received it from the Asuras were told its use. It seemed the senior who gave it to him must have been in a hurry and because of that, he didn't tell Kailen what it signified, but Kailen decided to ask him, Carther, about it because he wanted to know more about the item.
But for him to receive something like this from the senior, means the senior valued him for his actions. If he did the senior who did Carther's race a favor and got this emblem of Asura from the senior, it meant Kailen had to be treated as a guest of their race. It was simply a matter of tradition. And besides, on a second thought, Kailen Darkhaven was someone who would go very far. His feats spoke for themselves. This young man would undoubtedly become a Supreme sooner or later. Treating him favorably was not bad. Plus, Kailen healed his disciple's daughter. Ending the civil war was not enough to repay him for his actions.
Kailen was pleased with Carther's thinking as he used Emotional Resonance to glean the man's thoughts.
"He's thinking just what I wanted him to think. Good."Kailen thought. "Now the last piece." Kailen stood up, about to leave.
"Thank you senior for the hospitality. This junior is grateful," Kailen thanked the old man.
"Young Kailen. Don't be hasty to leave. Sit. From today on, let's ignore the formalities. Call me Uncle from now on. From now on, the RiverBlood Empire, the Arman Empire and the Astral Empires and the Asura Corrugation Empire are neighbors. I will personally visit your grandparents to even have a chat with them so we can familiarize ourselves with one another."
A glint of satisfaction flashed through Kailen's eyes. He had achieved his goal.
As for the Asura Radiant Empire, when they found out because of Kailen the civil war ended, not only would they be grateful to him, they would most likely be grateful to the Asura Corrugation Empire for sparing them. Their old monster would definitely avoid any further conflict in the future. He had only decided to engage in the civil war because Carther had started it. Someone of his nature preferred peace over conflict.
With this, Kailen had killed multiple birds with one stone. He had ended a civil war between two Asura Empires and secured an alliance with a powerful empire on behalf of his loved ones, through what in his opinion, was pure diplomacy
