A diary materialized into Kailen’s hands.
Quickly, he opened it, turning the pages to a particular area.
Jackson stared at Kailen with intrigue.
He handed the diary over to Kailen.
It read " I miss that vampire bastard. Had I listened to him, perhaps non of this would have happened. I don’t blame him for not answering my calls that night. He probably was mad at me, thinking it was nothing serious. Sigh, I hope wherever he is,he’s not blaming himself for what happened. Also , I’m praying he doesn’t resort to binge drinking again. That guy drunk so much the last time a girl broke his heart. Vampires like alcohol naturally. However I hope he doesn’t become a habitual drunk like he always does whenever he’s emotionally unstable "
Kailen stared silently at Jackson . Jackson was reading the diary silently.
He stared at the words ,reading them over and over again.
"When I first read this part I didn’t understand anything my father said. However ,I do now. I’m sure you can find closure that he didn’t blame you for anything" Kailen said "If anything, he regretted not listening to you,and was worried that you would blame yourself and resort to alcohol"
Jackson felt a heavy weight lifted off his shoulder.
"All this while , I’ve been carrying this guilt with me for nothing. To think he’d read me like a book. I’ve quit being a drunk as you can see. To think that bastard would be worried about me" Jackson sighed.
"Kid, thank you" Jackson patted Kailen’s shoulder.
