Starting out as a Dragon Slave

Chapter 158: Submission

Mordred looked at her with an almost paternal compassion.

- "Because I don’t need to, Livia. You attack with your body, but I defend with my mind. You seek to conquer space, but I master time."

He paused, letting his words resonate in the silence of the cell.

- "Allow me to show you what the true difference between us is."

Without warning, his power awakened in all its terrifying splendor. A halo of dazzling mana enveloped him, transforming his body into a beacon of supernatural light. The air itself seemed to vibrate under the intensity of his aura, and the stone walls of the cell began to resonate with a deep humming.

His ethereal wings deployed majestically behind him, each feather composed of pure energy that danced and swirled. They weren’t physical, but their presence filled the space, transforming the cramped cell into a cathedral of power. The light they projected made shadows dance on the walls, creating a hypnotic spectacle of absolute domination.

Livia instinctively stepped back, amazed by this demonstration that surpassed everything she could have imagined. Mordred’s aura was so intense that it seemed to press against her skin, a physical pressure that reminded her of her own insignificance. Her survival instinct screamed at her to flee, but her fascination nailed her in place.

- "Now," said Mordred, his voice resonating with an authority that seemed to fill every corner of the room, "I’m going to show you what it truly means to be outmatched."

He became intangible, his body transforming into an essence of pure light. But unlike Livia’s disappearance, his presence remained palpable, crushing, omnipresent. He was everywhere and nowhere at once, a living contradiction that defied the laws of physics.
