Chapter 97: CH 097: You lost
Dave and the twins faced off against each other, their fists were clenched as they locked gaze with each other. At that moment Aurora had decided to be the one to charge forward first, as her fist flew towards Dave’s face.
He tilted his head back, and her punch whizzed past his nose. Undeterred, Aurora swung again, aiming for his stomach, but Dave sidestepped the blow.
She launched a flurry of punches, each one aimed at Dave’s face or torso, but he dodged them all with ease, his movements were fluid and effortless. Aurora’s frustration grew, her breathing heavy, as she tried to kick Dave, but he evaded the attack with a slight shift of his weight.
Aurora’s face twisted in a snarl as she paused, her chest heaving. "Aren’t you going to attack, or will you just keep on defending all the time?" she spat, her eyes flashing with annoyance.
Dave’s expression remained calm, his voice even. "If I’m to do that, then this fight is as clear as over. But I want to see more of your attacks, that’s why I haven’t attacked myself." His eyes never left Aurora’s face, his gaze piercing as he waited for her next move.
Aurora shifted back into position beside Eldora, her eyes fixed intently on Dave. "If you’re not going to take this match seriously, then we can just conclude that you’re weak and can’t fight us," Aurora said, her voice laced with a challenge.
Dave’s expression didn’t change, but a hint of amusement danced in his eyes. "Really? You think I’m weak?" he asked, his voice low and even. "Everything I’ve done so far, including dodging each and every one of your relentless attacks, is weakness?" His tone was incredulous, and the twins exchanged a glance.
Without warning, Dave stretched out both hands, his fingers splayed wide. The air seemed to ripple and distort, and suddenly, beasts began to emerge from the shadows. They materialized out of the thin air, their eyes glowing with an otherworldly intensity.
The creatures stood tall, their fangs bared, and their eyes fixed menacingly on the twins standing before them. The courtyard fell silent, and the only sound was the heavy breathing and growling of the beasts.
