Chapter 7 - 3 Test
The car sped along for about fifteen minutes, the tall buildings on both sides of the Superconductive Highway becoming more numerous and higher. Skyscrapers around three to four hundred meters high were everywhere, with some buildings even exceeding a kilometer in height!
As we neared the city center, the volume of traffic on the Superconductive Highway increased, the number of lanes doubled, and the highway expanded several layers.
As the capital of the Asia-Pacific Community, Chang'an is one of the largest super-metropolises on Earth, with the nearly forty thousand square kilometer Guanzhong Plain completely incorporated into the capital region, and a resident population exceeding three hundred million. Its population density ranks within the top five globally.
Despite various policies the government has repeatedly introduced over the years and the effort to discourage citizens from flocking to the capital, they have been minimally effective.
The reasons for this are complex, involving both human nature and historical factors.
The difficulty of managing such a vast city is easily imaginable.
Changan is divided into 36 administrative districts, and the "Qishan District" where Ji Xinghuo lives is located to the west, more than a hundred kilometers from the city center.
After twenty minutes, the car left the Superconductive Highway, taking an exit ramp not far from its destination.
Ji Xinghuo alighted from the car and looked up at the building in front of him.
