Chapter 52 A Father
Since I finished all my work for the week yesterday, this morning was a perfect time for slacking off.
Other than dealing with some customer service issues, he mostly played games and browsed the internet.
It wasn’t until almost ten o’clock that the courier arrived to pick up parcels.
In the company, he wasn’t the only courier; every morning at ten o’clock, the courier would come to collect parcels.
You could fill in the address on your phone in advance, or pick up a reserved courier form on the rooftop, saving time.
The courier’s surname was Zhu, and everyone referred to him as Master Zhu. His exact full name remained unknown.
He had a crew cut, a round face, a double chin, a beer belly, and tattooed arms, clearly a man with many stories.
Despite his fierce appearance, he had a pleasant personality, and he spoke softly. Sometimes, when someone forgot to fill out their forms, he would patiently wait and even help carry heavy parcels to their workstation.
Thus, after interacting with him, everyone liked this seemingly fierce but kind-hearted Master Zhu. Some kind-hearted young ladies even gave him some snacks like chicken feet, beef jerky, or lollipops after he helped them.
At first, Master Zhu always declined, but later he couldn’t refuse and eventually accepted.
"I’ll bring these back for my daughter to eat," he said.
