"Get a driver’s license when you have time, I’ll buy you a car, so it won’t be such a hassle every time you come back," Jianjun advised Siyuan as he sent him to the car.
"I know," Siyuan responded noncommittally.
"Know, know, it’s always the same response, but where’s the license?" Jianjun said, irritated.
"Hehe..."
The reason Siyuan hadn’t gotten his license was partly that he found it troublesome, and partly that he didn’t need it.
He commuted daily on a fixed route; biking was more convenient than driving. Buying a car meant not only gas money but also significant expenses for maintenance and insurance.
Although Siyuan’s family was well-off, they weren’t incredibly wealthy, and he didn’t like asking his parents for money.
Of course, he wouldn’t refuse gestures like what his mom did today.
"Let’s go."
Siyuan got on a bus directly to Bin Hai, found a seat, and began reading "Embrace the Wind and Sleep."
As for Jianjun, he waved his hand, started his motorcycle, stepped on the gas, and left without a second glance.
