Chapter 111: Breakfast Date

Mira paused for a moment, panic filling her eyes as she hurriedly spoke to her grandfather. "What about little Zami’s food?" she asked, frustration creeping into her voice. How had she gotten so caught up in her own thoughts that she’d forgotten about everything else?

"Her dad has everything covered," her grandpa finally replied, waving his hand dismissively, as if to say, Let this old man enjoy his news in peace.

It was then that Mira realized he had referred to Zamian as "dad" instead of just "Zamian." Did this mean he didn’t mind or, even more surprising, that he supported Mira getting back together with Zamian—her husband? A wave of emotions washed over her. She sighed, turning toward her bedroom, trying to make sense of the mixed signals swirling in her mind.

Entering her room, she felt the familiar weight of uncertainty pressing down on her. She went in to take a bath, and after what felt like ages, she was finally ready. Mira slipped into a flowing maxi skirt paired with a matching top, feeling a sense of ease settle over her. She couldn’t help but admire her reflection in the mirror, but the nagging thought about Zamian still lingered. Would today be a new Chapter for them, or just another day filled with unspoken words?

As she stepped out of her room, Mira stood in surprise, noticing a woman setting the table. Various dishes were already laid out, the aromas wafting through the air made her stomach grumble. Just as she had been wondering what to prepare for breakfast, it seemed she had come out just in time. The woman finished arranging everything, then gave a polite bow before leaving, leaving Mira with a mix of gratitude and confusion.

A little while later, the front door opened, and Zamian entered. His gaze roamed the room until it settled on her, a smile breaking across his face that lit up the entire space. "Good morning," he greeted warmly.

Mira stared at him, her lips parting in shock, as if she were waiting for an explanation. Zamian finally broke the silence. "We’re going out to a restaurant."

He watched her with a growing smile, clearly able to read the question on her face: What about the food on the dining table?

"This food here is for Zami’s great-granddad," he clarified, and Mira’s eyes widened, still at a loss for words. The unexpected revelation brought a rush of relief mixed with apprehension. Did this mean they were ready to share their life again as a family?
