Chapter 87: Thier Outing
Mira woke up, slowly stretching as she stood up. She yawned, inhaling deeply and exhaling as she took in her surroundings. The morning light filtered through her curtains, casting a warm glow in the room. After a few moments, she headed to the bathroom to wash up. Once she finished, she slipped into something simple and let her hair fall naturally. Just then, a soft knock echoed from the door.
Nana entered the room. "Good morning, Mrs. Mira. It’s time for breakfast. Also, Miss Lily is here," she said with a polite smile.
Mira’s smile widened with each passing second, her eyes lighting up. "Really?" Mira asked, excitement clear in her voice.
"Yes, and she asked me to inform you to wear something suitable for an outing. You’ll both be going somewhere important after breakfast," Nana added.
"Alright," Mira replied, her heart lifting. She hadn’t expected Lily’s visit and was thrilled to have her there. The thought of Lily being there brightened her day, providing the perfect distraction from her usual boredom.
Mira decided to change into something more appropriate for the outing. She picked out a cute, long, flared brown skirt and paired it with a matching sweater-like top. Just as she was about to leave, she remembered her phone. Turning back to the bed, she noticed her phone lying flat on the mattress.
"Did it fall last night while I was asleep?" she wondered, a string of uneasy thoughts forming in her mind. "Did I move and knock it over?"
The more she thought about it, the worse the imagined scenario became. Quickly, she grabbed the phone, relieved to find it had only lost some charge. She took it to the other side of the room, plugged it in to charge, and then left the room.
If only she knew what had really happened the night before...
Mira walked down the stairs, her steps graceful as she struggled to hide the excitement bubbling within her. She spotted Lily, and her smile widened. "Lily!" she called out, waving enthusiastically. At that moment, she resembled a small child waiting for her parents after school, finally spotting them. You couldn’t blame her; after all, she had always wanted love and care.
Lily smiled and waved back, giggling at Mira’s cuteness. Mira finally reached the bottom of the stairs and walked over to Lily, initiating the hug this time. "Good morning," she said with a warm smile.
