Mira sat back down, her smile weak and painful. She felt utterly alone. Zamian had told her to ask him anything, but every time she tried, he responded with those infuriating words: "Pass." Now, she was seething with annoyance, and there he was, as calm and collected as ever.

She turned her gaze to the waterfall, the sound cascading down the rocks, hoping it would ease her frayed nerves. The rhythmic splash of water seemed inviting, a contrast to the turmoil brewing inside her.

"Any more questions?" Zamian asked, his tone Serious.

He couldn’t be serious, could he? Mira thought, narrowing her eyes at him, which were now cold and icy. With a heavy sigh, she stood up, frustration simmering just beneath the surface. She walked toward the waterfall, hoping to find a moment of peace, a refuge from the chaos of her thoughts.

"Mira," she heard Zamian call after her, his voice slicing through the serene atmosphere.

"What?" she snapped, turning to face him. She refused to break down; she wasn’t a child who cried over every little thing.

His eyes widened, surprise flickering across his face as he took in the fierce expression etched on hers. He stood up and reached for her hands, gripping them firmly before she could walk away.

"I can’t—"
